Lady, you are ill-informed. Breakfast at Tiffany's was release in 1961. Audrey Hepburn did not learn "Elegance" until 1964 in My Fair Lady.

That movie was filmed in the 50s-60s around there, so it dosent apply in the sense that “who drinks milk these days” that movie wasn’t filmed in these days. Just a small pointer, remember to acknowledge the era in which it was filmed. Milk was a household staple in the USA and was thought of as extremely healthy and was marketed to build ‘strong bones’ etc.

It think Breakfast at Tiffany's is like My Fair Lady/Pygmalion the sequel 😂😂😂 The elegance is a portrayal of how she wants to 'portray' herself in New York society, but her real self often shines through (like My Fair Lady) and she ruins the illusion of the elegance. I think Audrey was a very elegant lady though. Sabrina is a much more elegant movie (and it shows the ultimate 'level-up').

Actually, I don’t know if you ever heard of this, but you might want to research 'eating for your blood type'. Some people are more prone to bone breakage if they don’t drink milk. I know what I’m talking about because I have broken bones when I’ve gone without milk for long enough. Three months is enough to put me at high risk. I should know because I broke my foot into places years ago. Then there were other times I’ve gone without milk and had other bone breaks. As soon as I put milk back in my diet, no bone breaks because my bones once again became strong. Please research 'eating for your blood type' As for over sharing personal info, I guess it really depends, each person is different You’re right about the uninvited guest into not just that man’s home, but anyone’s home. One thing to remember though is those actors get paid to do stuff when making movies. It was just a movie, I’m sure they don’t do stuff like that in real life off set

    1. Smoking indoors isn't acceptable today, but it was perfectly acceptable in the 1960s when this film was made. It's really not fair to judge what people did a generation ago, by today's standards. Our little children, when they grow up, will look back at ordinary things we said and did, and say, "oh, look, how horrible! Mom and Dad were eating such-and-such or using thus-and-so! What is wrong with them?" 2. Audrey Hepburn is not only eating on the street; she's eating with her gloves on. This is an etiquette mistake everyone seems to miss. Ladies, when you take a drink, or begin to eat something, you must do so with your hands bare. Remove those gloves! 3. What's wrong with drinking milk? Lots of upper-class people do. Are we going to set our own personal tastes as the standards of elegance?

I honestly don't know how to be a Lady without losing my personality. I'm vulgare, I'm loud, I speak my Mind, I talk about sex openly. My guy friends tell me if I want to be a lady I have to be more quiet. I've worked in the luxuryindustry for a while. Smiling, be silent was my normal Workday. Beeing more like a decoration. And I hated my life and myself. Because every time I looked in the mirror I thought to myself, that is not me. And I felt bad because this is not me. I felt the need to be more ladylike because everyone told me so and still tells me. I adore women with elegance, I try to level up by myself with my overall appearance. But if I hide my personality, I will drive slowly into a depression. I'm glad that I got out of this industry (as a worker). But I still feel bad if someone tells me to be more Ladylike.

This one was your masterwork, dear! I usually laugh a lot with you ("...men will become your slaves...", "...a real expensive look.." and so on, but talking about the not classy spots in the great script from a great book at a great film starred by a great actress known as an icon of elegance and a cultivated woman as well is unexpected and brave! As you sure know ( perfectly well) the exquisite Holly is a country girl scorting at the city... not Natasha at "The war and the peace". I'm afraid Holly is exquisite in this film not for her manners or hats but for her fragility, sincerity, honestity, and strongness at the end... So, there is no point. Go on working in such a funny way bit be aware of shooting your foot, as you say!

OMG, how can someone miss the point so much...? First of all, stop talking about Audrey Hepburn. She was an ACTRESS. Her ROLE in this movie in essence was partly to HIGHLIGHT these outrageous etiquette mistakes. It could NOT be more obvious and yet you start making a list of them? It's like making a list of the funny scenes in a comedy and point out "you see, these moments made the film so amusing". It's foolish...The ignorance to fail to notice the art in making "fun of" such type of girls IS SHOCKING (and laughable, I'm sorry). Judging from your previous videos I expected more intelligence.

I love you and your videos but this one misses the mark. She's not elegant, she's not really claiming or trying to be elegant. Read the book. Don't put down one of the most iconic movies of all time. It misses the point of the film, like most average people do. She wants to play with the elegant people but she just wants to be loved, be financially independent, and be separated from her past, but she doesn't feel the need to be formally elegant. That doesn't make it right or wrong it's just the heart of the character.

Already as a very young child i could never ever in my wildest dreams drink or eat while standning up/walking on the street. Or whistle. Or drink from a papercup. At the most, i sit down somewhere if im thirsty, and drink from a bottle with a straw. Geez i have been made fun of through the years because of that.

I thought breakfast at Tiffany's is about a classy lady but was quite surprised when I watched it that it's not. Holly seems to come from a difficult background, trying to get into high society and find a rich husband, so her manner is quite unpolished. Please do more critique of characters in movies, nowadays we so commonly see bad behaviour praised on media that its misleading for women.

There are many inelegant things in this movie, aside from appearance which of course is very elegant. But elegance, at its core, is not about what meets the eyes. Those kind of behaviors (over sharing, getting into bed with strangers, being intrusive with other people's privacy) are not teaching good things to women. The movie was great of course, but we cannot take it as a suggestion.

YES YES YES to drinking your coffee properly! You cant enjoy it whilst walking! Some of my finest memories of travelling around beautiful European cities is when I am feeling a little tired to take a minute to stop at a café & enjoy a proper cup of coffee & watch the world go by if only for a minute. And maybe have a teeny marzipan treat to go with it. If you must buy takeaway coffee for a regular commute, do yourself and the environment a favour and ensure your work handbag has a high quality travel flask. 🙂👍☕💕
