Very good information. As far as bags, buy the best you can afford new. Then put away $50 a month .... After two years you have over $1000 and will feel far better letting that older bag go when you know you can afford to replace it. Absolutely, dry clean or steam your clothing. And if the "T" shape suits you, look for versions in silk or cashmere.

This honestly pushed me into buying a new bag, and I am not complaining.

You know, I disagree with her on nearly every point, but I'm so much more impressed that she's willing to stand by her opinion. People can't say their opinion anymore without putting it behind ten layers of qualification. So I'm thankful for that at least. I do think you should come to LA and just hang on the beach and have some in-n-out. When you've got sand in your toes and sun on your face, feel the warmth from within, "being elegant" isn't a concern. I guess I'm lucky to live in a place where I get to be so free and people will still respect me for who I am, thanks for the perspective.

Being elegant clearly isn’t very eco-friendly if anything that ‘looks used or dated’ is bad. Fast fashion is a real issue and encouraging people to throw their bags out for a little wear and tear is contributing to the problem (just like high street fashion brands)

I think when you watch her videos you have to keep in mind that she is talking from a perspective that captures elegance. The video is not about talking people down who wear tshirts but the video is just about pointing out what is not elegant. You can still choose to not dress elegant but you should then not feel offended when somebody points that out. Great video!
