Very excited to find your channel! Etiquette is such a lost art and "finishing schools" are disappearing. One that I did find is only for 18+ at which time it sort of feels like one has lost out on a lot of training time.
Ana what about if you're with your partner. Do you or does he pours the wine? Because the previous video you made about refilling water always his glass first.
For first glass, even with just one pour I feel like you should pour a bit less. People can get embarrassed if you over pour.
Hello Anna I miss your etiquette videos “informational”
You always take the top off WITH a towel over the top. See Krug for help
Ah so that was exactly the right way on how to open the champagne bottle I didn't know about that, actually we already had try to bought that and it"s funny to say that the one who open it has no idea on how to open it right that's why the cork pop up high above up to the ceiling that was a party celebration .Thanks for sharing about it .
Ann
The “cage” is called “muselete”, very useful tips, thank you!
I once attended a wedding where bottles of wine were placed unopened on the table. You had to call the waiter to open them. My husband doesn't drink alcohol so it never crossed his mind that I would like a glass of wine. I left early for this event, fed up with water and coke :)))
Thank you for your insight. It was very helpful.
what is your five top champagne ? Is there some that is more tacky to serve and should be avoid? Or is all champagne ok. I have noticed that in Sweden many thinks that Veuve Qliquot is little bit tacky. Personally I don't like this is so much. I have other brands that i prefer. But its very usual to have this on parties when they do serve champagne. Another thing i don't like it that many persons in Sweden say they serve Champagne when they actually only serve wine that is sparkly. It seems they don't know the difference.
Thete's actually a reason why a wine glass should be held only by the stem. That's why I'm totally bewilderd by the inapproptiate "stemless wine glasses" that they started marketing a few years ago. Worse, many people gravitated toward them (?).
You never tilt the glass to pour champagne! That’s adequate for beer only.
Cheers I feel I have someone toast with :)
Watching and doing at the same time. It's the simple pleasures to have fun... still made a sound... I'll leave it to the expert waiters, but love watching your lesson
Did a Spanish waiter teach you how to do champaigne-serving correctly? :) Whaaat? You don't want the bottle to sound when the bottle is opened? Where on earth did you get all that idea what people should do when handling a bottle champagne? This video is so funny that no one can take you seriously. Hahahahah
I am naturally inclined to let the men serve the wine, but in my culture, I am perceived as not being nurturing and "womanly" enough. Life.
the second way to hold the bottle with only 3 fingers makes me feel like it's going to fall....Holding it from the bottom is hard already :,(
In the wine industry, we say that opening a bottle of champagne should sound like a bishop’s / nun’s / priest’s fart (aka you shouldn’t hear it); you have just demonstrated style, class grace, and incredible skill. You do make some good points, but one that I’d say for the viewers is don’t talk about wines and champagnes as if you are an enthusiast if you’re really not... because it’s embarrassing for everyone when you make the mistakes and people pick up on it, and all of your work will be for nothing. Also, don’t swill it around your mouth like Listerine, but one subtle movement around your mouth to identify the notes can really help you appreciate the drink.
I live in Switzerland and I love it ❤️but the service it is not that great . Thanks for the video as always very helpful. 🙏🏻
Why shiuld a woman know to do this? There is men
Women don’t serve drinks, only servents and men serve drinks!
I have always wanted to know how to pour champagne properly. I have seen it done improperly. Thank You for showing us the correct way.
Big ettiquette lessons for me when i moved to France. 1) Ladies never serve themselves alcohol at aperitif or dinner. And 2) when you say cheers or santé, you must touch glasses but MUST make eye contact with the person.
Could you please recommend any elegant perfumes?
Thank you
😂😂😂😂 so hard to drink Shmp I feel already tired 🤣🤣
I've heard it said that when opening a bottle of champagne, it should just "sigh" and not pop. I thought that your technique produced a nice sigh.
Thank you for the post. You are so inspiring and informative.
Learnt this in my wine class! I study Hospitality🥰
cold as icecream but still as sweet!
In France, for a big festive affair, the pop of the champagne is welcome with laughter and joyful cheers. Even for an intimate soiree, a fun pop is welcome. It puts a smile on everyone's faces. Champagne without pop is boring. Reserve that for a regular bubly "mousseux.'.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋awesome video ty ty YOU R AMAZING GOD BLESS YOU I’m late but I’m catching up on your video 💕💕💕💕 be safe
I love love love this channel! 👌
I always take her tips with a grain of salt (for example, the thing she said about how a woman should try to get a man to serve her drinks instead of serving herself was dumb asf to me), but I do learn some valuable things from her. The way she showed how to hold the bottle and the champagne flute really do make a difference and look so much more elegant!
Hello. A how to serve an hold wine glass” type of glass etc video would be nice to watch as well.
You're such a level-headed Lady. You're having come from a less affluent background have served you well. Being 70 and having watched lots of people in my life; noting those that come from affluent out of the womb are not as fortunate as we would think. Those from lesser affluent backgrounds are much more aware of the realities of life. I do believe it brings about a humility. I so enjoy seeing such an outstanding young woman help guide other women in the same direction.
I believe it is better to hold the champaige bottle by the NECK.. Holding @ the base of the bottle + the Weight of it applies pressure on ur arm N it makes your neck muscles look kinda like the lobster on sponge bob.
So stemless glassware is useless for their intended drinks! Thanks for these tips
You are quite intelligent and that is very attractive about you ) Good move with the lead magnet )
И вот она я, в халате и рваных носках, лежу на диване и пью чай с тортом. Потом будут семечки. Ура
i don´t drink any alkohol but itś so interesting to know about these mistakes
I am Muslim and I don't drink ❤️ El Hamdoulilah
question: when pouring the champagne into the flute, is the bottle not very heavy? I feel like it would slip from my hand, especially since it can't touch the glass.
👍👍👍
3:37 - Nonesense, the pop is a big part of the experience of having champagne.
As a elite lady - I dont serve Champagne - I have a server😂

Hi , What if we don’t drink ? He or I don’t drink ! Then ?!!!! Thank yuu.
I registered and I must say the anticipation is already happening. Haven't looked at your schoolofaffluence website, but I am so happyto have found you and your videos, as they are being incredibly helpful. Thank you!
I’m 12 and Muslim, but now when I watch vlogs where people drink champagne or wine I scrutinise everything and get so triggered 🐸
Man, I missed the workshop sign up. I can’t wait for the next round.
Thank you , thank you... you are beautifull.
Et la très raffinée Madame de Pompadour disait : "Le champagne est le seul vin qui rend les femmes belles même après qu’elles l’ont bu"! 🥂🥂🥂
I am always so scared to open the champagne bottle because of the sound. Now I think I can open one easily. Thank you!
No joke with the service in Switzerland.
I signed up a few weeks ago for your workshop but was given a waiting list option and never received any emails. Is it too full now?
In France for grand occasions like weddings in bourgeois families they might open the bottle with a sword, it's called "sabrer". Usually if the family has a military background and the sword was a great grandfather's. Also, when saying cheers they have rules : when you clink your glass with someone you have to look them in the eyes and no crossing with anyone else.
love you Anna! please do more videos❤️
love you Anna! please do more videos❤️
thank you so much i've learned a lot Miss Anna! ❤️
But if you r that luxury you don’t have to pour. It should you r made or the people who help you in house
Hello! What do you think about making video about (avoid) lipstick mark on vine/champagne glasses? :)
I was told you always serve the older women first
What about lipstick on the rim
Ah, Champagne Problems.

One of my highest pet peeves is when anyone tries to dance with any drink. I don't want my clothing soiled nor do i want to walk in alcohol. Such low behavior.
As a licensed bartender I’m impressed at you knowing all the steps lol
Great advice. The aqua drapes and tie backs are unbelievably beautiful too. The chair, table, lamp. All these things are elegant too. The color of the dress is wonderful and contrasts so nicely with the drapes and flowers on the table. Good lighting for this video also. In terms of champagne, you are drinking my favorite!
Holding a stemmed glass by the bowl is a habit I’m trying to break myself of. Holding by the stem feels unstable to me and makes me a bit nervous.
I am so glad I came across you channel. I am so excited. Thank you!
really, appreciable your videos I personally love it and it very elegant way of learning thank you mam`m
That’s actually a skill they teach you at conventional school for waitresses it’s not easy.
Anna, this is gonna be weird but you need to do a video on your makeup look, it’s so simple and classic. I love you so much and I’m a very big fan, you’ve helped me a lot.
Just a note to keep in mind: Always take care that when you pick up the bottle, the LABEL is fully visible, showing (and not covering) the information of the drink, which surely has been created by a specialist designer in great detail. It's something I learned in a luxurious London conference center.
How long do you need to chill champagne before serving?
What is a good champagne to give as a gift when going to a small party you’re invited to?
Lovely to see a receptive audience for these lessons 👏🏼
Love the attention to details. Also, lovely dress.
What dress are you wearing? So beautiful
great and useful video, thank you! Anna, you look truly gorgeous, always inspire me) would be also interesting to know how to drink champaign without leaving lipstick marks on the flute
A man should open the champagne. A lady should only do so if in all female company. Or if she is a bar maid. Or if she is hosting an event.
Hey! You Madame are so beautiful and elegant. Awwww😻
Muselet is the name of the “cage”. There is a legend about it, that madam Clicquot took wire from here corset to twist around her bottle of champagne. Before it was made by rope
Love the etiquette/ finishing school type videos
My first champagne bottle opening, I punched myself in the face with the cork flying to my face, I was 14 (serving it at my parents dinner party)
Pretty Woman would have been happy to watch your classes 😉 I definitely enjoy them. Cheers!
Thanks for this video! I love champagne and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to visit the region and learn about how it's made. It really annoys me when people waste champagne by opening it the wrong way. I'd be interested to know what your favourite brand is!
Thank you for sharing this
You have helped me so much! 🌸🌸🌸
Love looove the video! Very helpful. Could you also make a video on how to eat lobster, etc?
As a professional designer, I can't stress enough how much I love the way you set up your space. Very elegant and sophisticated
Anna, thank you for this video! Could you please make a video 'What hat an elegant lady should wear during the hot summer days'. Thanks!
Dear Anna ,you are so beautiful like elegant and your charisma is very appealing.
How do we drink red wine? The same as white?
Does the holding, drinking apply to juice and sparkling water? I am a teetotaller
Thank you Anna for the e-mails, i'd request you to do another video with the types of drinks and glasses and more into manners. the difference between cocktails, serving them, drinking them, dresscodes, those advanced but simple details. Cheers and Congratulations, Bianca
I’m not a lady or that elegant but bad drink etiquette drives me crazy especially people holding a glass wrong or even worse I see people self serving and filling their wine glass to the top.
