Next time some dude finds it "weird" when I tell him it was always I who did the asking out, I will simply say "I only date elegant women". I simply don't understand these young chaps who wish it were otherwise; to be honest I find them rather effeminate men and I am tired of pretending that I don't! I have always been comfortable being a man and I have always loved dainty women. In 1987 when I met my first girlfriend, it was always the guy who asked the girl out and never the other way around. If she was interested, she would "help you along the way", as you so rightly put it. I don't like the verb "to chase" that much. I would say "I met my girlfriend" or "I was fortunate enough to get to know her" or something along those lines. Hunting game and meeting women are two very different things, although both can be an expression of art.

You don't need to act differently just because of your gender. Just be a decent person with good moral values. The behavior pattern you learn and try to do because someone says so would not last long. It would be fake, be nice to yourself, and understand yourself. Every person's psychology is different so people can react in different ways in the same situation but it doesn't mean that you can judge people just because of how they are dressed that day or how they sit. İnstead of that, giving value to people and aware of the problems in the environment would make you a prettier ( elegant) person if it is really what you want.
