In my humble opinion. Some good advice, some not so good. If the goal isn't marriage, then you are an "elegant" woman with a live in boyfriend, and for most people without a commitment, or just another woman that is sleeping around. It is not elegant to have children out of wedlock, or to have an abortion. A truly elegant woman wants to meet a man that loves her, and makes a lifetime commitment, therefore you shouldn't by slyly seducing a man into a physical relationship.

Hello Anna, your words in this video are really wise and empowering. I felt identified with your last words. I live in a small town in South Africa, and all what you see is poverty, lack of self stem, unemployment, crime, and people look in general are defeated. So, since I live here I was progressively following what everybody do. I am from Buenos Aires and you can find very elegant people on the streets there and I used to try being elegant too. The point is: how to become elegant in a town in where the majority people are poor, where there is very few shops and all of them are targeting mass consumption style. There is a huge difference between Geneve, Berlin, Praga, Moscow and the place in which I am living. What kind of advice you can offer in this regard? I will really appreciate your answer.

Hi Claudia, I also live in a small town in South Africa and I know what you talking about. It really wouldn't make a difference if you dressed up elegantly when you running your errands, because above reasons that you mentioned. But you can still dress elegantly, if you going to eat in a nice restaurant or maybe enroll in a high end sports club if there's any in your area , go to events happening in your area. You can also spoil your self and take care of your skin and body so you can shine without much effort. Eat right. If you can afford visit beauty parlor for your face, hair and nails. All that really does make you glow and feel heavenly and trust me if you take care of yourself, your hygiene, body people will notice without wearing expensive designer clothes or jewelry! I hope you the best 😊

I used to be into the "I do what I want" energy, I thought femininity was something negative that belongs in the past. Like you mentioned, my family and environment were never "elegant" or rich, but when I started working on myself, I just feel so much better. I feel more confident, and definitely VERY EMPOWERED!

I just want to say, I know the topic of “covering up” is controversial because the point of contention is we shouldn’t shame women, they should be able to wear whatever they want etc. However, I think it’s really important to cover up FOR women’s empowerment. What I mean by that is when you dress yourself provocatively, it puts all the focus on your sex appeal, and sexual attraction and attention. Which is fine if that’s your thing. But I think deep down most ladies would like to be seen for who they are as a person and the talents they possess aside from their bodies. Wearing more modest clothing in many ways forces the regard and attention to come from a place of actual equality and respect because individuals interacting with you - male or female - take you at your merit and not at “face” value.

Me and my family are far from being rich, I'm an energetic 23 years old woman, don't own 14 different wardrobes and still hear a lot that I'm elegant. So, yeah, there is nothing to do with being rich of from a rich background, being boring or even owning a hundred of clothes. Also, I got friends who live in different realities (Some poor, some millionaires) and still I don't feel like I'm not fitting in any place.
