I am Persian and I do LOVE sequin dresses and nice ornamental embellishments and everything that is glamorous. It DEPENDS on the quality and the pattern of the embellishments. Embellishments and patterns are supposed to symbolize the heritage, creativity, femininity and and beauty. Certain flower combinations are symbolic and speak a subtle language. Also I love elegant peacock embellishments or Asian patterns.

For example, Francesca by House of CB especially when you size up shows a pinch of cleavage, doesn't have that awful line that pinches fat out and is a midi. It looks amazing on most people (with hourglass) I have seen it on. More so in the dark colors. This is a trending fashion, yet is not obnoxious like previous bandage models. It's also beneficial for people who need a corset-style suck-in on a waist line.

I'm petite and curvy, I can't wear loose dresses like the ones you provided. The best types of dresses on my body shape are ones that show off my shape instead of eating my body up, therefore they tend to be bodycon or more structured dresses.

The thing is not every women is dressed for other men to be attracted to her or other women to like her or be jealous of her it's a matter of personal style and choice i do agree that some of these dresses don't look beautiful but it also depends on who wears them and how they style them.
