I had a date with a guy where he paid for dinner (OF COURSE)!!!!!!! As we were leaving out, I thanked him for the meal, and he said "You're welcome. You got us next time." I laughed, thinking he was joking. He didn't call me for about three weeks (and I most certainly didn't call him). In the conversation, he said that he hadn't called because it was my "turn to call." I asked him why he felt that way, and he said that he believed that a relationship should be 50/50. I explained to him that I am not 50% woman. Needless to say, we never spoke again.

He said that it was customary where he's from but he knows it's traditional for the man to pay in the US. I told him that that is customary and that is be happy to split the bill on our second date. In the USA they have expression "let's dutch", which means "let's share a recipt/bill=I pay half and you pay half". It comes from Denmark, where I guess most of men are poor and they can't afford even simple dinner:) During my English class in NY the female teacher told our male colleagues, that in the US culture they take all recepits, when they're dating woman. If she said "let's dutch" it would mean "she thinks you're poor".

I definitely agree. But if a man’s main focus isn’t sex and he actually views people as people, and not objects, he will see her for who she really is. He’ll see all of her good qualities. He’ll appreciate the fact she can hold a conversation, the fact that she truly cares about him more than anyone else on the planet does, he appreciates having her by his side because he’s not embarrassed of her. There are a lot of things that make a woman special and it’s the difference between her and other women that should make him see that her “difference” is what she brings to the table.
